Hot on the heels of the hugely successful release of “Jungle Book”, Disney has announced it will be releasing a bucket-load of new live-action movies over the next few years!
Along with the confirmation of a “Jungle Book” sequel, Disney claimed release dates for another “Maleficent” movie, “Dumbo” directed by Tim Burton, and a spin-off of “101 Dalmations” that will be named “Cruella”.
The latter is set to star none other than Emma Stone as the lead actress, and the beautiful Emily Blunt is also set to make a major appearance on Disney’s upcoming “Mary Poppins” sequel! We.Cant.Wait!
There were initially some doubts over the likelihood of success when Disney first began to come out with live action versions of their animated classics.
But clearly the popularity of “Alice in Wonderland”, “Maleficent” and of course “Jungle Book”, boosted the company’s confidence and optimism in their ability to produce live action films, and we’re truly excited to see what the next three years have in store!
Other stars set to feature in Disney’s exciting new line-up include Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon and even Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson!
So far, five movies are officially slated for release between summer 2017 and December 2019, though it is not yet clear exactly which titles these will be.
